Chinese Porcelain Vase

Curious white-porcelain vase with hand-made decoration, manufactured in China in the half of the 20th century. This item, as attractive as original, is an only piece composed of nine connected vases. There is a bigger central vase surrounded by eight smaller ones; these nine pieces make up an only square-shaped vase. They are all in amazing condition, with no cracks or chips in spite of the articles fragility and ancient age. The outside vases show off a delicate colorful decoration that turns this piece into a very decorative item. This decoration covers the vases whole outer surface, from the base to the top. The color palette of the decoration is really spectacular and covers virtually all the color spectrum. Over a delicate light green background we can see lovely big flowers of different colors and species. There are yellow, pink, blue and red flowers with small touches of other colors. Together with the flowers there are also small baskets containing red peaches; this fruit is the Chinese symbol of longevity. Over the green background and surrounding the flowers and the baskets we can see a lot of red and yellow curved shapes that provide the decoration with movement and joy. The vases mouths, bases and necks also bear bright yellow fringes. If we turn this item upside down we will find a square-shaped Chinese mark containing four characters. The base shows a deep brown color due to the artisanal firing process into a ceramic furnace.Measurements: Width: 8.2 in / 21 cm. Height: 10.2 in / 26 cm.
