This lovely horn gramophone was made in the early 20th century, circa 1915. Its good condition is a remarkable feature: all its components are very well preserved, especially the metal horn. This piece keeps the original enameled finished, the metal being lacquered in a subtle orange color with a red glazing that enhances its embossed parts. The gramophones motor has been revised and adjusted so the item works perfectly, providing a great sound. The wooden box is also in strikingly good condition. The box is made of light-colored solid wood with a fine veneer that enhances it good look. It has a very simple design composed of a molded base, flat sides and top plank with no decoration at all. At the front we can see a metal detail nailed to the wood, in the shape of a cameo. This piece depicts a womans profile inside an oval frame decorated with garlands. On top of it there is a group of elements, seemingly a bow and a quiver with arrows. It is a nice detail, reflecting the style of the time. The metal elbow that holds the reproducer and the horn is also engraved with abstract motives in a nice Art Déco style. The reproducer is a model by Parlophon: the market name is engraved in the metal together with a logo and two fine volutes. As stated before, the horn is big and highly appealing; its orange tones turn it into the gramophones starring piece, and makes up a balanced and beautiful overall together with the box and the metal parts. This amazing vintage gramophone is waiting to show off its great beauty and fine sound in the most elegant living room.Measurements: Box: Width: 320 mm.
