This striking horn gramophone is a real collectors item, a design by famous trademark His Masters Voice (HMN) made in 1910. It's 100% Original. The gramophone is in great condition and works perfectly. Its motor is silent and provides a wonderful sound. All this articles parts and components, including the reproducer and the big metal horn, are original. The gramophone is a Junior Monarch and mounts an Exhibition reproducer. As well as being a great music reproducer, this gramophone is also an amazingly decorative piece.Stuck to one of the fully restored oak wooden box we can see the famous brand logo depicting a dog listening to a horn gramophone. The original picture was performed by Francis Barraud, an English artist that painted the dog Nipper listening to his deceased owners voice from a cylinder phonograph. The Gramophone Company acquired the picture in 1899 but told Barraud to modify the image, changing the phonograph by one of their wind-up gramophones. HMV is still active nowadays and sells audiovisual technology and products.On one of the boxs sides there is another sticker, circular in shape, printed with the models name (JUNIOR MONARCH) and the reference number 555515. On the other hand, the reproducer also bears its model name EXHIBITION printed in gold lettering. Anyway, one of the most remarkable pieces of this great gramophone is the spectacular metal horn. It is lobe-shaped and preserves its original transparent red-enameled finish that turns it into a highly attractive element.This incredible HMV, original from the first quarter of the 20th century, is a real find in the field of vintage music reproducers.Measurements: Box: Width: 360 mm/14.1 in.
