Lovely Majestrola suitcase gramophone, made in Germany in the 1930s and in wonderful working order. This musical reproducers design is a real classic in the field of vintage gramophones: suitcase models became very popular because of their practical design that let the user carry them comfortably. This particular gramophone boasts a compact and functional design, covered outside with black faux leather and with chromed metal reinforcements. The article keeps al the original metal components, all of them in excellent condition. The gramophone works fine and provides a clear and neat sound. Inside the cover we can see an inscription with the gramophones market name: Majestrola. It is printed in golden letters that create a smart signature framed by an oval. This logo is printed on a plastic piece attached to the inside of the suitcase: the piece is designed to store the gramophone records in perfect conditions. The metal reproducer bears a small inscription: MADE IN GERMANY that indicates the country where the gramophone was manufactured. On the other hand, if we open the front door that lets the sound out inside we will find another printed logo with the name of the original distributor: Jan Kettner from Yugoslav. The black faux leather that covers the suitcase is very well preserved and so are the metal components that make the gramophone work: the reproducer, the crank (with wooden handle), the turntable and the knobs. The lock works perfectly and the carrying handle is also original; they are both in excellent condition.
