This gorgeous suitcase gramophone is an exclusive piece because of its great working order and its ancient age. It is a His Masters Voice (HMV) machine, a worldly renowned brand that produced magnificent devices. The gramophone is a HMV 101 and was manufactured in England in the 1930s. As we can see in the photographs, the item is in excellent condition; it works wonderfully too, with a silent motor that turns it into a fine detail to decorate any music lovers living room. Inside the gramophones cover we can see an envelope designed to store the records. On the front plank there is a sticker with the famous brand logo: a dog listening to a horn gramophone. Over the image we can see the compàny's name, His Master's Voice, and under it: The Gramophone Company. This curious logo and the brand name began being used by the firm in 1899, when they bought a picture titled His Masters Voice painted by Francis Barraud. The picture depicted the dog Nipper listening to his dead masters voice; he was the painters brother. The gramophone preserves all its original component parts, the most remarkable one being the reproducer or sound box: a nº4 piece with the brand, companys name and model engraved at the back. The wooden plank where the turntable rests has an inlaid bone-colored plate with a black inscription that reads: MODEL 101 QUOTE Nº: 1010071636 IN CORRESPONDENCE CONCERNING THIS MACHINE. The plank is in excellent condition, with a lovely glossy finish and a fine walnut color. Any lover of music and antiques will find a unique piece in this HMV gramophone, an article that will fill the most elegant room with its charm. Measurements (closed): Width: 11.4 in/29 cm.
