This lovely suitcase gramophone, in good condition and working order, is a Polydor Electrix made in the 1930s. This gramophone was made in England and is quite well preserved. The motor works fine and lets the user play gramophone records with a neat and clear sound. This item is original from the thirties, full of nostalgic charm and with a comfortable compact design. The gramophone is located into a black faux-leather-covered wooden suitcase that preserves the original locks and handle. Inside the lid we can see a flap designed to store the records. The flap bears a sticker with the models name, POLYDOR ELECTRIX, and the brand logo (in a fine art deco style). Polydor is a prestigious record company that in the beginning was an independent branch of the Deutsche Grammophon for the export of the companys product. Its name was first used in 1924. Nowadays it is a British company owned by the Universal Music Group of London. Polydor is currently the second oldest record company in the world, after the Deutsche Grammophone. The gramophone that appears in these images has a wooden plank to support the turntable; is the motor is hidden under it. We can also see some silvery metal knobs and the arm with the reproducer or sound box. The reproducer bears an engraved inscription that reads POLYDOR MICA. The black faux-leather covering of the box is in good condition, and so are the crank, the metal reinforcements of the corners and the carrying handle. Fantastic case gramophone with an excellent sound. Measurements (closed): Width: 11.8 in/30 cm. Depth: 16.1 in/41 cm. Height: 6.6 in/17 cm.
