This gorgeous horn gramophone is an antique piece, full of beauty and in working order. The gramophone dates from the 1920s and is original from that era. It has a solid wooden box that mixes three different species with their particular colors and veneers, and an amazing golden brass horn that draws out attention because of its shiny look and big size. The gramophones motor has been fully cleansed and tuned; the article works perfectly and sounds great, letting the user enjoy the charming sound of antique records. The boxs sides are made of light-colored wood, probably cherry, and the top is finished with a nice reddish lacquer. The curved corners are made of dark wood. The joints between the sides and the corners are embellished with delicate golden metal details. Screwed to one side we can see the metal elbow that holds the arm with the reproducer and the horn; this is a beautiful piece, stylized and solid and decorated with embossed volutes. The arm itself is made of chromed metal and so is the reproducer or soundbox. This piece bears the inscription BRITISH MADE in embossed capital letters. The horn connected to the arms end: it is a huge piece that really enhances the gramophone. It is conical in shape and is made of golden brass. The metal still preserves the original transparent lacquer. The horn looks great and is wonderfully preserved. The gramophone has a small metal plate attached to the top of the box; nevertheless, the brand name and serial number engraved in the plate do not correspond to the article. One of the boxs sides is adorned with a metal detail depicting four kids playing musical instruments, in a perfect modernist style. Its excellent sound and remarkable look turn this gramophone into an essential piece for the study or the living room of a music lover. Measurements: Box: Width: 8.21 in / 40 cm.
