Beautiful antique horn gramophone made in 1915 and in great condition. The gramophone works fine: the motor has been dismantled, revised and fine-tuned in order to guarantee a perfect performance. It shows a nostalgic design typical of the first decades of the 10th century and with art-deco inspired details. The gramophones box is made of solid oak wood, with a gorgeous golden color enhanced by the warm French-polis finish that protects it. It has an ample molded base and the side panels are decorated with horizontal parallel grooves. The front side has an art-deco style metal detail attached to the wood. It consists of a geometrical fringe decorated with flowery garlands. At the side panel we can see the original crank that brings the motor to life, with its nice brown-colored solid wooden handle. The reproducer or soundbox works really well, providing a wonderful sound. But surely the most remarkable piece of this attractive antique gramophone is its big metal horn. It is a beautiful element, made of metal sheet and with striated design. The horn bears a fine enameled finish with a nice combination of light ochre and brown colors that imitates wood faithfully. On the light ochre enamel, a pattern that imitates oak wood veneer has been carefully painted; the result is remarkably surprising. This finish is in amazing condition and only shows slight signs of wear in the horns inner border, painted in a darker color than the rest of the piece. Measurements: Box: Side: 13.3 in / 34 cm. Elbows Height: 14.1 in / 36 cm. Horn: Length: 25.5 in / 65 cm. Mouths Width: 20.4 in / 52 cm.
