This amazing horn phonograph - gramophone is a Victor (His Master's Voice) model II perfectly preserved and in good working order. The phonograph - gramophones motor has been fully greased and fine-tuned so today it works wonderfully and sounds great. This device was made in the USA in 1910 and though being such an antique piece it has survived to our days in excellent condition. Its solid oak wooden box, impressive Morning Glory horn and good working order turn it into an exclusive piece, full of personality and charm. Attached to the front side of the oak wood we can see a small metal plate with the printed manufacturing companys name (Victor Talking Machine Company) and the famous logo of a dog listening to a phonograph - gramophone. The Victor Talking Machine Company was an American firm founded in New Jersey bt Eldridge R. Johnson to manufacture phonograph - gramophones and records. After a legal fight with the rulers of the company where he had previously worked, Johnson founded the Consolidated Talking Machine Co. Together with Emile Berliner. In 1901 the firm changed its name for Victor Talking Machine Co. Victor also acquired the rights to use the HMV logo in the United States and Latin America. The plate also bears the engraved models name, Victor II, and the serial number 4575 A. The phonograph - gramophones box is gorgeous and shows the deep oak wood veneer standing out under a delicate finish. The black-lacquered iron elbow supports a wonderful golden brass arm that connects the horn and the reproducer. This piece is an Exhibition made by the same firm. The black-enameled metal horn is really impressive and remains in great condition.
