Antique record cabinet made in Spain in 1922, in magnificent condition and with a fine classic ctyle. The cabinet was made by His Master's Voice, the Spanish branch of His Masters Voice. It is designed to be crowned by a gramophone by the same manufacturer. The cabinet is a high-quality piece of furniture: it is made of wonderfully-preserved mahogany wood. The wood has been carefully restored in order to show the amazing look that we can appreciate in the photographs. The blind door keeps the original lock and key in working order it is in perfect condition, with no broken or worn parts. The top of the cabinet has four corner holes designed to fit the legs of a table gramophone of the same manufacturer; more precisely, a His Masters Voice gramophone, model 125. The cabinets structure shows a high and stylized design with straight and elegant lines. It has scarcely any molding or superfluous ornaments and this feature turns the cabinet into a timeless piece of furniture, perfect to be included in any ambient and decoration style. As well as for its original duty (storing gramophone records), the cabinet can be used to organize other articles. If we lift the blind door, inside the structure we will find four mahogany wooden drawers that make it possible to keep the contents perfectly organized. The drawers are in optimal condition, and can be pulled and pushed in a fluid and simple way. They are not deformed of broken and their front side shows off the lovely veneer typical of mahogany wood. As the only decorative detail in the design, we could remark the lovely brass keyhole. The metal bears a delicate engraved decoration, modernist in style and with schematic vegetal motives.
