Stylish and sober His Masters Voice table gramophone, model 109. This device was made in England in 1927 and is in wonderful condition, as beautiful and functional as it was then. The motor has been revised and cleaned so the gramophone is in great working order it provides an excellent, neat and clear sound. The gramophones chest is made of solid oak wood with a satin dark finish that fills the design with elegance. The article preserves all its original component parts and ancient decals, all in excellent condition. Inside the cover we find the famous brand logo with the inscription HIS MASTERS VOICE clearly printed in golden lettering. The brand was created in 1899 from a picture by Francis Barraud depicting the dog Nipper listening to his dead owners voice coming from a phonograph. The Gramophone Company bought the picture, but before they told Barraud to change the phonograph for a gramophone of their own. The rest is history: the image became worldly famous and the firm eventually changed its company name for the brand name. The decal preserves its bright colors and looks as beautiful as when it was originally printed. The gramophone includes an original His Masters Voice Nº 4 reproducer, with the model and the companys name clearly engraved in the metal. The chromed-metal pieces are also in great condition, with no traces of rust or wear.
