Striking antique horn gramophone in excellent condition, in great working order and fully original. The gramophone was made in France in the early 20th century (1915) and has been restored in detail, in order to show off the amazing look that can be appreciated in the photographs. The motor has also been cleaned and overhauled so today the gramophone can play antique records with a neat and charming sound. The design of this apparatus shows off a fine Art-Nouveau style, with a lot of volutes and wavy details that reflect the decorative power of the famous school of decorative arts. The gramophones box is made of solid oak wood, with a lovely golden-brown color and remaining in almost impeccable condition. The boxs base is quite ample and is decorated with hand-carved classic-style volutes, precisely created. Over the box, the plank that supports the turntable has wavy milled edges; this design creates a sinuous and dynamic effect. The wood bears a wonderful French-polish finish, glossy and warm, that enhances its beauty and protects it. Screwed to the top plank we can see a brass plate with the manufacturers name and location in embossed lettering. The silvery-metal component parts take the same decorative line as the box, especially the elbow that supports the arm that connects the reproducer and the horn. This is quite a singular piece, shaped as a volute and with great art-nouveau engraved motives. The rest of the metal elements look shiny and polished, in a remarkably good condition. The arm connects a PERFECTION reproducer or soundbox, made in France and in perfect working order, with the awesome metal horn: a morning glory design that preserves the original green enamel and the nerves decorated with gold pain. As gorgeous as authentic, this antique Art-Nouveau horn gramophone will surely become the starring piece of the most stylish dining room. Measurements: Box: Elbows Height: Horn: Length: Mouths Width:
