Extraordinarily Rare Melody Gramophone in Piano Shape, manufactured around 1930. This is a very original piece in the shape of a grand piano. It consists of a delicate box made of beautiful marquetry that can be appreciated especially in the upper lid. It is in a really perfect state of preservation. On the front we find the decorative black and white keys typical of a piano, which make this piece a true marvel. It even attaches a longitudinal cover like the real pianos that serves as protection. Above the keys a small triangular plate with the mark: THE STANDART, MELODY, indicates that this is a completely genuine piece. The piano is supported by three truncated cone-shaped legs, also made of wood. By opening the upper curved lid of the piano you can access the gramophone. The lid has two positions, an intermediate and a high one, which allows to see more or less the machinery. Inside the piano, the cymbal and the metallic arm are housed. It attaches lateral speed control and an original brush that serves to clean the record before the melody needle passes. The crank, located on the right side, is in very good condition, practically new. Fantastic and rare piece in perfect condition and working order, with which to listen to music from the first day.Very original piece! Perfect for decorating as well as listening to beautiful melodies of yesterday.Measures: 64 x 41 x 53 cm (open) and 30 x 41 x 53 x 53 cm (closed).
