Decorative Opera Horn Gramophone manufactured in the years 1910-1920. It consists of a decorative quadrangular wooden box with elaborate panels decorated with stylized vegetal forms in the Modernist style of Northern Europe. It sits on four discreet flat legs and a convex base decorated with a succession of geometric shapes. Undoubtedly this is a very well made case, very different from the plain cases that we usually find in other gramophones of this period. It has a sticker with the mark Opera on one of the sides that attests that it is a totally genuine piece. The reproducer is in good condition, something to take into account if we want to listen to a tune on this fantastic piece from the first day. The crank with wooden knob, located on the right side, is totally original. It has a brake on the front right side of the cymbal, which allows to stop the melody if desired. In this very special piece stands out without a doubt the precious aluminum horn in reddish color which makes it an extremely beautiful piece. The painting of the horn is completely original and has a beautiful gradient on the inside that makes it very decorative. One of the articulated pieces of the arm was damaged, but a custom one was made in aluminum. This fantastic gramophone has excellent aesthetic and functional characteristics, with a magnificent sound. The mechanism is in good condition, ready to make it work from the first moment, as it also attaches several discs and needles. Magnificent piece with which to enjoy a good melody. Measures: 16,5 x 38 cm (box) and 48 x 51 cm (horn).
