Wonderful Excelda gramophone from the beginning of the 20th century, made in 1910. The machinery is in perfect condition and the gramophone works very well, with a loud and clear sound. The motor lasts enough as to play a whole record. The Excelda model belongs to the Swiss gramophone company Thorens, which became very popular thanks to the folding camera Excelda gramophone, which was launched in 1932. The gramophone is beautifully made, with a magnificent mahogany box and brass horn. The metal is in very good condition, with a shiny and polish surface. On the other hand, the mahogany box has a deep reddish color; although the varnish shows some slight signs of wear, they can be easily restored. The beautifully metal arm that holds the horn and the reproducer is also highly remarkable; it is engraved with an stylized floral design. The reproducer is an Antoria Gem, made by the prestigious British gramophone brand. The name and logo are also engraved in the metal. The gramophone has also a cranks with a handle made of beech hardwood. The beauty of this wonderful gramophone and its quality of sound turn it into a great piece, perfect to become part of the most exclusive collection, or to stand out in any elegant living room or studio.
