Precious Soviet Antique Gramophone. USSR, 30's

Amazing antique portable gramophone made in the Soviet Union (USSR) in the 1930s and in good working order. This gramphone is a very special piece, original from the time and with all its component parts in great condition. The motor has been cleaned and fine-tuned in order to provide a good performance; today it is possible to play records in the gramophone and enjoy the evocative sound of old-time music. The suitcase is made of wood with dark-red leatherette surface. The material is really well preserved; the cover shows some signs of wear, but except for this detail it is in excellent condition. The suitcase also keeps the carrying handle and chromed-metal fasteners. If we open the gramophone, inside the cover we will find a lovely circular sticker with the Cyrillic inscription Molotovskii Patefonii Savod (Molotov Patephone Factory). The logo depicting a treble clef over a landscape of a lake with mountains is in wonderful condition. Inside the suitcase we can also find the gramophones component parts, all of them made of chrome-plated metal: the arm with the reproducer, the turntable and the crank. The reproducer bears another interesting embossed inscription, also in Cyrillic: GRAMOFON LENINGRAD. The suitcase inner leatherette surface is greatly preserved, and so is the chrome-plated metal the component parts are made of. The gramophone comes with a fine tin box for the needles, decorated with turquoise and bone-white enamel and with the German brand name of the manufacturing company. Its ancient age, rareness and great working order are just three of the many attractive features of this amazing Soviet portable gramophone.
