Ultra rare Peter Pan travel gramophone model. Switzerland, 1923

Ultra rare Peter Pan portable gramophone model made in Switzerland in 1923. This is quite an ancient model, but is nevertheless in excellent working order. It has not been possible to find information about this gramophone model, a very rare Peter Pan that not even experienced collectors have been able to identify and of which there are no references in my books and catalogues or even on the Internet, so this is a Peter Pan model of an exceptional rarity.The article is in good condition the outside leather covering shows the logical wear produced by the trace of time and use, but the mechanism preserves all the original component parts and pieces in perfect working order. The metal speaker shows a small repair, a welding that scarcely interferes with the style and the amazing sound of the device. Inside the cover we find a small bone-colored plate with the models name and the patents, PETER PAN GRAMOPHONE. The Peter Pan Gramophone Ltd. Was located in London and produced this and other gramophone models between 1923 and 1926. The gramophones were manufactured in different countries, Switzerland among them; the motors came from this country too (normally made by Thorens). The reproducer shows the models name in black lettering on a red background; this piece is in excellent condition, and so are the rest of the chromed-metal component parts that make up the mechanism. The wooden suitcase that hides the gramophone is sturdy, simple and finely preserved. Outside it is covered by ochre-colored natural leather. This material is somewhat worn at the corners and shows an uneven colored surface, a feature that provides the gramophone with personality and history. The metal suitcase locks and knobs and the leather handle are original from the period and remain in good condition, fulfilling perfectly their duty. This unidentified Peter Pan gramophone model is quite a singular item, shrouded by mystery and fully original from the early 20th century. Measurements (Closed): Width: 8.4 in / 21 cm.
