Antique Celeste trench gramophone made in England in the 1920, in superb condition and great working order. This gramophone is amazingly preserved in spite of being nearly one hundred years old. It works really well and can be used to play old-time records with a high-quality sound. Trench gramophones get this name because their design is similar to that of trench telephones used during World War I. The one that we can see in the images is mounted in a solid-oak wooden box, with the original leather handle and black-enameled shutting hooks in wonderful condition. In order to use this gramophone, we just have to open the lid and reveal the top part of the box. It mounts a turntable and an arm with a reproducer. The turntable keeps the original green felt in fine condition and the reproducer bears the brand name CELESTE printed in white lettering on a black background. All the component parts are made of chromed metal and remain greatly preserved, with no signs of rust, wear or dents. At the bottom of the box there is a small door that must be opened to let the sound out of the speaker. Original from the period, in wonderful working order and greatly preserved, this antique Celeste trench gramophone is a real collectors piece. Measurements: Width: 12.4 in / 31 cm.
