The gramophones motor, a quality element made by the English maker Garrand, has a perfect operation. So today the gramophone sounds great and make it possible to play old-time records and enjoy their evocative sound. The box is made of solid mahogany wood and bears a simple decoration of small wooden pillars attached to each side. The wood preserves the original French-polish finish in very good condition. At the front side we can see a sticker with the gramophones name, MONOPHONE, in amazing condition too. It boasts an art-déco-style design in two colors, red and golden, gorgeous and stylish. The chromed-metal component parts (elbow, reproducer and arm) are finely preserved, polished and shiny. The elbow which holds the horn-and-reproducer set and connects it to the box is a beautiful element: it is decorated with a gorgeous embossed motif which stands out on a black background. The gramophones reproducer shows a very good condition too. At the center it bears an inscription in golden lettering printed on a black background: MADE IN GOLDRING LUXUX ENGLAND. Connected to the reproducer by the metal arm we can see the striking witchs hat horn, made of golden metal and in amazing condition.
