Antique Mikky Phone portable gramophone - phonograph made in Japan in the 1950s, complete and in fine working order. Though being such a small and compact device, it can play gramophone records with a great sound. The gramophone is in good condition, showing only slight signs of the trace of time which do not interfere at all in its good look or working order. For example, the speaker is somewhat loose, a detail that can be easily mended by fitting the rod with a piece of tape. Once the gramophone is mounted, this detail is not visible at all. All the component parts and pieces are original, from the hammered-finished case to the chrome-plated mobile parts. The reproducer is marked with the models name, MIKKY PHONE; this name is also present at the red-enameled metal plate riveted to the case. Very probably, this name was inspired by the famous portable gramophone Mikiphone, designed in 1924 by Miklós and Ettiene Vadasz. Authentic and special, this antique Mikky Phone portable gramophone is an exclusive and original item. Dimensions: Width: 4.53 in / 11.5 cm. Depth: 3.75 in / 9.5 cm. Height: 5.7 in / 14.5 cm.
