Rare antique Standard Mélodie piano-shaped gramophone or phonograph made in France circa 1930, in very good condition and excellent working order. Its original design is enhanced by its amazing sound, loud and clear and with a silent motor. This is quite a rare and difficult-to-find model, with a great decorative power and an undeniable attractive. The gramophones box is shaped as a grand piano, made of solid wood covered by mahogany veneers. At the lid, the wood veneer is beautifully disposed and creates a gorgeous radiant design. Under the lid, the box contains the turntable with the arm and the reproducer; the motor is hidden underneath. At the front side we can see a triangular metal nameplate just over the keys, with the inscription THE STANDARD MÉLODIE DÉPOSÊ FRANCE ET ETRANGER. The reproduction of the grand piano is very detailed and includes a keyboard with mobile white and black keys and a central pedal with a brass foot.
