Antique travel Peter Pan gramophone or phonograph made in Switzerland circa 1930, complete and in very good working order. This exclusive item is entirely original from the time and comes with all its component parts and piece, all of them functional, which make it possible to play records with a loud and clear sound. This is a foldable gramophone, a model also known as ‘camera gramophone’ for its similitude with ancient photo cameras when folded. They were quite popular in the 1930s for its affordable price and easy use. These devices were manufactured by the Peter Pan Gramophone Ltd., located in Gerrard St. and Frith St., London. Though, motors were made by Swiss brand Thorens; and these gramophones were also manufactured in Switzerland, such as the one we can see in the images. The box is made of wood covered by black leatherette, in fine condition except for some very slight sign of wear (logical considering its ancient age). The silvery metal metalwork is greatly preserved and shows no signs of rust or wear. At the reproducer and the plate riveted to the box we can see the brand name PETER PAN.
