Amazing vintage horn gramophone Ideal made in France in 1915. This is a beautiful piece which attracts our attention because of its big lacquered metal trumpet and its elegant carved box made of oak wood. It is an original item from the early 20th century and has been restored in order to recover all its beauty. This is an Ideal gramophone, and the brand is printed on one of the boxs sides in slightly dull golden letters. It is in great working order, providing an excellent sound, neat and clear. The box is made of solid oak wood, which preserves its original golden tone and its deep veneer. The base has a carved fringe made up of classical volutes, and the corners of the box are also carved in the shape of semi-columns. The top, where the turntable rests, has an edge carved in the shape of a rope that enhances greatly the beautiful oak wood, which is quite well preserved and varnished. At the right side we can see the crank, designed to wind up the gramophone in order to operate it; its handle is made of beech wood with a shiny dark walnut finish. The horn is made of metal foil and has been restored, so it looks as nice as new. Overall, this lovely gramophone is a first-class decorative item and also a delicious instrument which will let its owner enjoy the music with all the charm of antique musical reproducers. Measurements: Box: 333 mm side. Horn: 440 mm (mouth width) x 530 mm (width).
