Sober and striking horn gramophone, made in Germany in the early 20th century (circa 1915). It is a fully original item which has preserved all its original pieces and has survived to our days in perfect working order. This gramophone can play records like new, providing a nice and clean sound thanks to its silent motor. Moreover, it is also a wonderful decorative piece of furniture that will dazzle any lover of antiques with its majestic presence. The gramophones box is made of oak wood. The sides bear delicate and simple engravings depicting three concentric circles crossed by three parallel horizontal lines. This pattern is engraved in three of the sides, while the fourth one supports the elbow which holds the horn and the reproducer. The oak wood the box is made of looks great, so golden and lovely. The horn, made of lacquered metal foil, has an original translucent copper finish, and its mouth and inner part are decorated with golden strokes which increase its beauty. The horn has a lobed shape, typical of vintage gramophones. The crank that operates the gramophone has a beech wooden handle, finished with French polish. Just over it, the horn or trumpet is attached to a fine iron elbow decorated with art-deco style patterns. This piece also holds the arm to which the reproducer is attached. All the pieces are original and look great. This gramophone is undoubtedly a magnificent piece, made with a high attention to detail and which works perfectly. It is the best acquisition for any lover of music and vintage objects. Measurements: Box: 315 mm side. Horn: 460 mm (mouth width) x 640 mm (width).
