Beautiful Antique Solid Silver and Garnets Bracelet. Central Europe, Circa 1900

This amazing silver bracelet was made in Central Europe more than one hundred years ago, in the early 20th century (circa 1990. The piece is in excellent condition and is quite remarkable because of its fine design whose style has survived the trace of time and the different fashions. It is composed of a series of small pieces liked by flexible joints the pieces are made of engraved solid silver depicting volutes and floral-inspired motives. Each piece has a garnet set in the center; the bracelet preserves all the original semi-precious stones, whose wine-resembling color stands out on the silvers glow. The bracelet has six silver links, all of them with the same design. They are shaped like flowers the metal is engraved in a somewhat abstract way, making up symmetrical pieces in a nice decorative style. The engraving technique is quite rustic; this feature provides the jewel with a remarkably modern look. The sturdiness of the metal is well reflected by the mixing textures: the shiny and polished reliefs and the dull darkness of the grooves. The garnets that embellish the links are delicately cut in a diamond-like way. The mixture of the cut and the dark red color they boast is quite attractive.
