Antique 19th Century Silver and Gold Brooch with Large Aquamarine and Zirconia.

Amazing antique silver and gold brooch, embellished with a big aquamarine in the middle and several zircons around. This jewel was made in the 19th century and has lost none of its great beauty and elegance though it was made more than one hundred years ago. The symmetry of the silver and gold volutes that frame the big stone provides the brooch with a nice balanced look. The jewel is also highly interesting because of its mixture of noble metals.A stated before, in the center of the brooch a great oval and delicately cut aquamarine stands out. The transparent blue color typical of these precious stones is in this case especially pure and crystal-clear. The jewel is in great condition although the aquamarine has a small dent in the edge that can scarcely be distinguished. Nevertheless this detail does not interfere at all with the broochs beauty.The silver base is made up of delicate filigree curved volutes. Disposed in a cross-shaped design, the four gold pieces provide the item with a warm glow and stand out from the rest of the details. The silver is profusely adorned by small zircons, original from the era. There is only one missing but it can be easily substituted by a new one.This wonderful antique brooch will be the perfect accessory for an elegant ladys suit.
