Antique Precision Balance from the 50's.

Wonderful antique precision scale for pharmaceutical or laboratory use, made in the 1950s by Balanzas Cobos and in great condition. The balance comes from Spain and shows off a great decorative and aesthetic potential, at the same time being an original and fully functional piece. It is made of silvery metal: the metal surface preserves its original shine and good look, with no traces of rust. The balance can still be used to weigh products and formula with the maximum accuracy. It comes with a weight and micro-weight set original from the period, stored in a fine wooden box. The balance mounts a cylindrical golden metal pillar with two cast-iron pieces above. These pieces support the silvery metal beam and help maintain the pans stable, providing accurate results. The pans are hung from slim silvery metal rods. In the center of the beam we can see a pointer whose bottom end touches a graduated scale. In order to easily read the results, the balance includes a magnifying glass. The balance is protected by an urn made of solid wood and glass panes. The urns base is black and has three adjustable legs that make it possible to put the balance in the right position on almost every surface. Attached to the urn there is a small metal plate with the engraved manufacturers names, BALANZAS COBOS. The weight set that comes with this item is delicate and lovely: complete and in great condition, it comes in a small wooden case. The micro-weights are protected by a glass lid and come with tweezers that make their manipulation easier.
