Impressive bronze set composed of a mantel clock and a twin candelabra set. This nice item was made in France and dates from the 19th century. It is a very decorative piece, in striking condition. Both the clock and the candelabra keep all their original parts, with no repairs or welded elements. The clock has been fully restored to its original splendor. The bronzes surface looks shiny and polished, and its hand-engraved neoclassic decoration turns this lovely set into a beautiful item, worthy of the most elegant living room.The clock boasts a stylish design with the box standing on four slim legs. At the base there is an engraved motive depicting two symmetrical sphinxes with lovely womens faces, lions bodies and open wings. On both sides of the sphinxes there are classic columns, and over this decoration we can see the clocks white face with black Roman numbers. The crowning piece is made up by a dome, embellished with fine volutes and standing on a frieze with two symmetrical winged lions. The clocks sides are decorated with elegant female figureheads that act as handles.The clocks movement bears the engraved serial number 79188 and is in perfect working order, having been fully fine-tuned. On the other hand, the two candelabra that accompany the clock show off the same neoclassic design, smart and stylized. Each piece has a classic column as a base, flanked by two symmetrical figureheads just like those of the clock. The top part supports four candle-holders and is crowned by a fifth one with a bronze detail on top.
