Important French mantle clock made between 1855 and 1875. The clock measures 94 cms tall, 41 cms wide and 33 cms deep (36,7 x 16 x 12,9 inches). The sculpture group is formed by two female figures holding up a cherub. The group is magnificent. The clock is made of policromed metal with a marble base and gilt legs. At the center, the clock has an 8 days Paris movement that strikes every hour and halfhour. The movement is signed by the famous movement manufacturer of the era Vicent & Cie and was Silver Medal in 1855. Has been checked by an expert watchmaker and, of course, gives the times perfectly. The dial has Arabic numerals and is in perfect condition. This is a superb clock. Pendulum and key included.
