This beautiful mantel clock, simple and balanced, is an Art Deco model manufactured in the 1920s-30s. It is made of mahogany wood and its simple and rectilinear design corresponds to the taste of the period, clearly influenced by the German Bauhaus. The clock has a square-shaped box that stands on a rectangular four-legged wooden base. All the pieces are made of mahogany wood, remaining in quite good condition and preserving the original protecting finish. The clocks face is also made of wood, with a silvery-metal circular piece and golden brass Arab numbers. The brass hands boast a fine abstract and rationalist design. As for the movement, is complex and attractive it has a pendulum bob and bears the serial number 27911 engraved in the metal. The component part that supports the iron coil shows off a nice engraved motive with symmetrical volutes.
