Magnificent antique mantel clock and candelabra set, made in patina-finished bronze and quite well preserved. The set comes from France and dates from the 19th century. This is a powerfully decorative item with a delicate design, full of antique charm. The main piece is surely the mantel clock, a pendulum model in perfect working order. The movement has been revised and fine-tuned in order to guarantee an optimal performance. The mantel clock is an exclusive and high-quality piece. It has a bronze face with black and white enameled-metal Roman numbers. The hands are made of silvery metal. At the top of the face we can see a metal plate with the engraved manufacturers name: Comptoir General J.Bd. Poissonère. PARIS Maison H.Riondet. This name is also engraved in the clocks movement and can be seen opening the rear door, together with the year of manufacture, 1884, and the serial number 2242. On the other hand, the clocks box is composed of delicate decorative patina-finished bronze elements, among which the front mask and the side volutes stand out as the most remarkable details. The candelabra are similarly designed. They match the clock and complement it greatly, creating a perfectly balanced set. They have four arms and five lights each, all the parts being in amazing condition. The three pieces stand on square-shaped bases supported in their turn on four small legs. The candelabra and the clock are profusely decorated with complicated and fine patina-finished bronze volutes with images of fish, marine beasts and masks. These details provide the set with a charming antique elegance and turn them into a both exclusive and timeless piece. Every lover of antique clocks and classic pieces will appreciate this stunning patina-finished bronze set, perfect to decorate a stylish dining room. Measurements: Clock: Width: 9.4 in /24 cm.
