Original French mantle clock made of wood and mercury-gilded bronze, shaped as a lyre. 1820-1830. Original lyre shaped box, decorated with mercury-gilded bronze details in the shape of plants. It sits on a rectangular stepped base of ebonized wood. Both the duality of wood, such as the bronze fixtures, together with the lyre shaped of the clock, make of this piece one of most decorative of the time. Central part decorated with 5 vertical bars, simulating the strings of the instrument. Lentil Pendulum with decorative floral design. The crest consists of plant-shaped details made of bronze, with its center decorated with an original head of a cherub showing delicate curls, who is wearing a crown of sunflowers that are repeated on the fringe of the area. The face is bordered by a beautiful decorative running foliage that matches the interior. The Roman numerals in black lacquer and the beautifully crafted needles finish off the decorative whole. Clock with 8-day Paris movement, chiming the hours and the half hours, which is exposed at the back of this magnificent clock. This amazing piece is in perfect condition, with the revision made and machinery well preserved and working. All parts are original and the clock is like new.
