Great mantle clock made of two-color bronze, patinated and mercury-gilded bronze. Beautiful wavy box that contrasts clearly with the inlaid work in mercury-gilded bronze, which shows a nicely crafted work. It sits on four decorative legs with concave volutes that go round the corners of the box. On the outside of the piece we can see decorative panels with floral decoration in the shape of grapes, volutes and leaves. Also, on the sides we can see some cherubs symbolizing draught and music, which undoubtedly show the great aesthetic quality of this fantastic piece. In the center there is a shield depicting a red dragon with open wings and garlands, a very decorative image. In the center of the floral edge, made of gilded bronze, we can see a beautiful female face which symbolizes art and standardizes harmoniously all the decoration. This design surely provides this fantastic article with great majesty. The simple oval face is in good conditions, like new, and the numbers are perfectly clear. It comes with a convex protecting front glass which can be separated by rotating it, also in perfect conditions. 8-day Paris movement, chiming the hours and the half hours. The machinery is stamped on the rear: PONS, and with the serial number of the piece: 2304. This incredible clock is in great condition, both aesthetically and functionally, perfect to use from de the first day. A real museum item! Measures: 32 x 21 x 10 cm.
