Fine mantel clock made by Junghans brand in the 1.930s. It is perfectly preserved and in great working order. The clock has an alarm and a music box with forty one notes, which play two delicious tunes. It is made of mahogany wood and stands on an oak wooden base dyed in a dark color. The front fan-shaped carved detail is also made of dyed oak wood. Junghans is a prestigious German watchmaking company establised by Erhard Junghans in 1861. In 1903 became the worlds largest watch company, and in 1.970 the firm launched the first quartz German wristwatch, Astro-Quartz. Nowadays Junghans is still a leader firm in the field of watch making. This elegant mantel clock has a light structure, with two glass sides through which we can see the devices inside mechanism. All the parts are made of solid mahogany wood, perfectly preserved and which shows its beautiful reddish color enhanced by the varnishs gloss. As we have stated, the base is made of oak wood and so is the frontal carved detail. The clock also bears some polished brass details, such as the front ones or the balls which crown the shapely top details. The machinery is in great condition and perfect working order. Both the alarm and the music box work perfectly. The music box has forty one notes thanks to which it can play two tunes, whose titles are written on a label fixed to the inside of the door: Estelita and Hymne (Hymn). The clocks face shows a beautiful design typical of those years (1.930s), with an ivory white background and golden numbers with black shades. The needles are also black and golden. All these features turn this exclusive vintage clock into a lovely decorative and functional item, whose severe elegance will provide the most beautiful room with great style.
