Luxurious set of mantel clock and a pair of chandeliers. It is a beautiful antique which dates from the 19th century and was made in France. Both the clock and the chandeliers are made of marble and brass, and they are in good condition. The clock has been adjusted and checked, and works perfectly. This set shows a Baroque style, and the beautiful contrast between the materials (marble and brass) is highly remarkable. The deep black marble makes the polished golden brass stand out, and make of this set a first class decorative antique. The clock has square shape and stands on a wider base, which is supported by four brass claw-shaped legs, finely engraved. On its top we can see a lovely and complicate brass detail, which holds a black marble piece surrounded by volutes and floral motives made of the same metal. Over this piece there is a stylize brass top with the shape of a pineapple. The clocks face is round and black, and the numbers are engraved on the material and painted gold. The clock keeps the original key intended to wind it up. The chandeliers are the perfect complements for the clock, which would not be the same without their presence. They are identical and have a black rectangular marble base with a vegetal motive engraved on the front side. They stand on claw-shaped legs and on the base there is a slim set of brass curved piece which support a marble piece with the shape of an inverted cone. There are more curved brass pieces over the marble cone, and they are intended to hold the candle holders. An elegant top depicting an inverted heart crowns each chandelier. One of the chandeliers marble cones is reconstructed, as well as some candle holders. Nevertheless, this is a detail which in no way affects the great look of this luxurious set, which will bring the unmistakable style of classic decoration to the most elegant house.
