Antique Porcelain Clock and Candlestick Set, Ca. 1900.

Amazing antique mantel clock and candelabra set made of Meissen-Style porcelain and dated circa 1900. The clock and the candelabra are in very good condition, showing restorations that do not interfere in the wonderful look of the three pieces. The high-quality porcelain stands out for the great handmade modeling work, worthy of a talented artist. The polychrome work is also remarkable, composed of subtle pastel colors and gold touches that provide the set with a romantic and delicate style. The clock has Paris movement chiming the hours and the halves. The movement has been fully cleaned and tuned so today the clock works perfectly. We can see a circular mark with a five-pointed star and the manufacturers name engraved in the metal: A.D. MOUGIN DEUX MÉDÁILLES. The serial number 7550 is also clearly engraved. The clocks dial is white with beautiful black Arab numerals; the hands are also black. Framing the dial and the golden-metal ring that surrounds it there is a striking decoration composed of a plethora of porcelain flowers with extremely thin petals, carefully manufactured. The whole decoration is quite baroque and splendid, full of tiny flowers, volutes, delicate female figures and endless amazing details. At the clocks base, two elegant porcelain female figures recline adopting airy poses; crowning this piece there are two small kids who hold a flowery garland. On the other hand, the candelabras bases are three-legged tripods on which small female figures sit. The figures are holding fruit bowls, garlands an flowers. The set presents professional restorations and in general the whole is in good condition presenting only some faults like some petal.
