Antique French pendulum clock with chime. Bronze and marble. 1890

Outstanding French mantle clock in marble with gilded decorations and topped with a classical female figure in bronze. The figure is signed. The clock is in excellent condition. It has an 8 days Paris movement in excellent working condition. It keeps the time perfectly. Both, the movement and the pendulum have matching serial numbers. This means that the pendulum is the factory original, which is unusual, because they tended to get lost. The dial is also made of black marble, has Roman numerals and is signed by the clockmaker. The front of the clock is gilded in a magnificent condition. A beautiful piece of high quality and performance.The clock measures 48 cms tall, 43 cms wide and 22 cms deep (18.7 x 16.8 x 8.6 inches), and weighs just over 25 kilos (55.1 pounds). Each candelabra is measuring 59 cms tall and 14.5 cms by 8.5 cms at the base (23 x 5.7 x 3.3 inches). Both weighed 8 kilos (17,6 pounds), so the total weight of the clock is more than 33 kilos (almost 73 pounds). Because of this, it has to be sent two boxes, one for the clock and one for the candelabra.
