Gorgeous antique French bronze clock and candelabra set, made in France circa 1900 and in fine condition. The set shows a neoclassic-style design, full of symmetrical and balanced details that make up three extremely decorative pieces. The clock works really well and chimes the hours and the halves; its movement has been thoroughly revised in order to guarantee a good performance. It is complete and preserves all its original pieces and component parts, just like the candelabra. The only part missing is a bronze adorn at the bottom rear part of one of the candelabra; but this detail is not visible from the front and remains unseen. The clock is shaped as a temple, with a rectangular body standing on an ample base. The base is supported by four curved legs. It is crowned by a vase-shaped top piece flanked by two symmetrical sphinxes. At the clocks sides we can see two handles, attached to the body by two lions faces. The dial is a stunning piece which remains in extremely good condition; it has white background with a central bronze openwork detail and a bronze frame. It bears black Arab numbers and fassonzeiger hands. The clocks movement is signed by Japy Frères and bears the serial number 30200. The two candelabra show off a great style and decoration which match the gorgeous design of the clock. They are twin pieces with a stylized shape, including a central arm and four side arms with its corresponding candle holders. The central nodes are decorated with the same sphinxes as we could see at the top of the clock, and the bases bear front identical bronze details that unify and balance the whole set. This antique French bronze clock and candelabra set is an exclusive piece, more than one hundred years old and with a high decorative power that matches its good working order.
