Beautiful French Bronze Mantel Clock. Year 1.880. Perfect Condition

This exclusive mantle clock dates from 1880. It is made of polished bronze and comes from France. It is in great condition and perfect working order. The clock has been completely revised and adjusted and the bronze is shiny and polished, boasting an impeccable look. This is a beautiful artistic item, with an elegant and delicate designs and whose beautiful making competes with its value as an antique. It is a highly decorative piece with its baroque ornaments, but at the same time the design is quite balanced and provides a deep sense of serenity. The polished and shiny finish of the bronze can be seen all over the articles surface. Even the clocks face is made of this metal, and the only porcelain parts are the numbers. They show a white background with black Roman numbers that match the simple metal needles. The face is protected by a circular bronze and glass door, also in perfect condition. The clocks movement is signed with the following inscription printed in the metal: H & F PARIS. Just under this stamp we can see the serial number: 3011. The clocks design is composed of a rectangular box vertically disposed, which seats on a base whose four legs are adorned by striking Doric style volutes. This classical inspiration can also be seen in the four Greek fluted columns which surround the box, and which are crowned by pineapples. The top of the clock is a round cup embellished with a big bronze ribbon, palm leaves and two angel heads, one on each side, with rings hanging from them. The cups top is adorned by a nice flame-shaped detail. All this decoration increases the aesthetical interest of this magnificent bronze clock, a real find for any lover of the most exquisite antiques. Measurements: 230 mm width x 395 mm height.
