Antique French mantle clock in perfect working order. Topped by a female figure holding ears of wheat, so it may be an allegory for agriculture or perhaps the Summer. Both are recurring subjects by the nineteenth century sculptors artists. The clock has a Paris 8 days movement that strikes every hour and half. The pendulum and the movement have matching serial numbers, suggesting that the pendulum is the original. The movement has been cleaned and adjusted by an expert watchmaker, and is in mint conditions. The clock measures 42 cm high, 28 cm wide and 14 cm deep (16,4 x 10,9 x 5,5 inches). The two amphorae have also floral patterns and act as candlesticks. They measure 30 cm tall by 14 cms of base (11,7 x 5,5 inches). The clock dates from the late nineteenth century, between 1860 and 1890.We certificate by written the authencity of this piece. It will be send with the clock.
