This striking mantel clock is a collectors piece with a great decorative value and in perfect working order. It is a German clock made in the 19th century. The box is made of solid walnut wood with golden bronze decorative details. Although the wood shows traces of an old woodworm attack, the clock has been fully restored and treated and is currently in perfect condition. The movement has also been fine-tuned and nowadays the clock works like new.This item boasts an architectural design with a solid and simple wooden box that stands on a molded base. At the top we can see a smart semicircular crowning piece with carved decoration and small golden bronze rosettes. The two charming cherubs that flank the clocks face are also made of this metal; the small sculptures depict two naked kids sitting on short columns. The figures are quite beautiful and ingenuous, and match perfectly the rest of the bronze details that surround the face.The boxs sides are adorned with two golden bronze classic masks depicting womens faces. The overall is very decorative and boasts an unparalleled richness; the lovely contrast between the dark and noble wood and the shining metal embellishes the design even more. The clocks face is made of metal and bears black Roman numbers; it is decorated with many embossed motives.
