Great Cross of the Order of the Agricultural Merit from the Franco era and in its original case. This amazing medal, in excellent condition, is the highest category to be expected inside the Order. It is a civil medal created in 1905 and maintained until 1987, when it was turned into the Order of the Agricultural, Fish and Food Merit. The piece was made in gold-plated solid silver with a colorful enameled decoration. At the center we can see an allegory of Agriculture, a woman ploughing a field with a sunset at the bottom. The scene is framed by the zodiac signs and a beautiful display of green-enameled rays. At the bottom we can see the shield of Castile and Leon, in a white-enameled band with the inscription MÉRITO AGRÍCOLA in golden lettering. The medal preserves the original green moiré band and comes with the chest plate and the pin, all of them in perfect condition. This Great Cross of the Order of the Agricultural Merit from the Franco era will be a great incorporation for any self-respected collection of historic medals. Medidas: Ancho: Gran Cruz: 78 mm.
