Genuine Cross of Military Merit Red Distinctive medal, Egaña model, awarded to the Spanish fighters of the Blue Division during the Second World War, with its miniature, both pieces superbly preserved. The medal stands out for its excellent condition, but also for its great design and high historic relevance. It is shaped as a Greek cross with red-enameled arms. Through the enamel we can see some flashes or rays which come from the center. The crosss arms frame a circle with the symbols of Castile and Leon in white, red and gold enamel. The top arm is trimmed by a golden crown which is also a suspension piece, connected to the ribbon through a golden ring. The silk ribbon is red and has a white central stripe. The miniature which comes with the medal shows exactly the same design. This Military Merit Cross medal 1st Class, Red Distinction and with miniature is the perfect piece to complete a good collection of historic Spanish medals.
