Great set of tools for forensic practice, complete and one hundred per cent original. This curious article comes from Germany and was manufactured during the first quarter of the 20th century. The case where the tools are stored is made of solid wood, whose nice light golden surface can be seen inside. The case has some grooved stand designed to hold the tools so they do not move and suffer any damage. Outside the case is covered by black faux leather and has an oval silvery metal plate in the center. It also keeps the original lock and shutting devices. The case is in good condition though it shows the logical signs of the trace of time that provide it with personality. Inside the lid is covered by a nice red velvet lining. Under it we can see the great display of tools that make up the set, made of silvery steel and in quite good condition. The tools look shiny and polished and there is no one missing. The set contains scissors, a small saw, several punches, some scalpels, a pocket rule, a file and a T-shaped tool. On the right top corner there is a small compartment, covered by a wooden lid with a white puller, where we can find some smaller utensils such as needles, thread, cord The tools bear a hallmark engraved in the metal with the inscription L.BAAR LINZ A/D. On the other hand, the wooden-handled scalpels show the word REINER engraved near the blade. The wooden pocket rule, painted yellow, is similar to those traditionally used by carpenters; it is in very good condition. It has some printed inscriptions: a mark in the shape of a unicorns head and the words 1 METER and FAST UNZERBRECHL, that stands for almost unbreakable. Anybody fond of medical antiques and vintage curiosities will surely appreciate this striking forensic set of tools. Measurements: Width: 14.1 in/36 cm. Depth: 2.7 in/6 cm.
