Antique case full of dental instruments, made around 1920 by English brand Cash and Sons. The case is of big size and it is made of hardwood. The wooden rectangular box contains three detachable trays, full of metal utensils. The set is complete and there is no utensil lacking, which enhances the value of this beautiful medical piece. The instruments are made of stainless steel (which we can read in the inscriptions engraved in the metal) and some of them have gilded parts. The name of the manufacturer, Cash and Sons, appears engraved in the instruments and so do the numbers. The big collection of different scissor-shaped tongs, extraction and cleansing items and mirrors come with a big metal plunger, which is kept in its own compartment, on the right side of the upper tray. All the instruments are clean and in good condition despite their age, which turns this interesting case into a high quality piece. The case itself is also beautiful. It is made of dark hardwood and inside the cover, there is a panel made of wooden stripes which has a volute-shaped top. Probably this is a device thought to hold the instruments, so the user could easily reach them when working. The trays are complete and in good condition, while the outside of the case shows some scratches product of time passing by. They can be easily restored. As antique as fascinating, this case of dental instruments will be no doubt the star of any collection of old medical pieces. Case measurements: 455 mm wide x 380 mm high.
