Beautiful and antique case with medical instruments, made in England in 1850. Inside the case we find eight items which are in good conditions. They are two scalpels and six probes, all having bone-covered shafts and housed in their original case. Although there are some utensils missing, the beauty and simplicity of these instruments turn this case into a piece full of attractive and quality. The case has a door inside the cover, which hides a separate compartment thought to house three more instruments. Also, the box has another compartment to the left, just beside the set of scalpels and probes. Al the inside is covered with luxurious red velvet, which keeps its intense color and elegance. The door inside the cover is covered with velvet and beige satin, and it has the original red cord. The case itself is externally covered by some embossed material (probably leather), in black color. The elegant design of the covering speaks of the quality of the case. Although the outside shows some wear signs, they can be restores. The case has the original hooks, made of iron. On the cover there is also part of a white label with a hand-written inscription, probably made with a pen. A very personal detail which enhances the attractive of this fine case, as delicate and evocative as special. Case measurements: 160 mm wide x 120 mm high (with the cover completely open).
