Curious pair of antique stethoscopes made aroung 1930 and in fine condition. One of the stethoscopes is made of aluminum and shows off a simpler design, while the other is composed of a chestpiece, tubing and pair of aural tubes with eartips at their ends. Tue tubing is made of brown flexible rubber; it is slightly worn, but still remains flexible and complete. The aural tubes are the steel pieces connected to the tubing, both fine and well preserved. The eartips are somewhat worn and the chestpiece is in excellent condition. On the other hand, the aluminum stethoscope is a simpler tool; it is composed of a circular metal chestpiece screwed to a hollow trumpet. This tool is 4.92 in (12.5 cm) long and is in really good condition too. Perfect to be shown off in a good collection of old-time medical pieces, this pair of antique stethoscopes is a good sample of the tools used by professionals in the beginning of the 20th century.
