Antique Ferguson surgery set for forensic doctors in wooden case, coming from England and made circa 1900. The storing case is made of fine golden-oak solid wood, amazingly preserved and with its original lock and key in working order. The case contains a complete surgery set for forensic doctor; most of the tools bear the inscription FERGUSON LONDON clearly engraved in the metal. The case is divided in compartments and mounts small sliding metal plates intended to keep the tools in place. It also includes a compartment with a lid to store suture needles. The set includes a back saw, several scissor clips, tweezers, scalpels, pliers, hooks and spatulas, as well as a foldable semicircular bracket with a tripod. Outside the cases lid is dyed in a darker color and bears an embedded brass shield with no engraved inscriptions.
