Striking couple of antique porcelain pharmacy vases, made in Spain circa 1900-1930 and obtained from a pharmacy in Seville. The vases are finely preserved and show no flaws except for a small dent at the edge of one of the lids. This is an unimportant detail; in order to remain unnoticed, the lid can be turned so the dent is hidden at the back. Both vases are cylindrical in shape and are entirely made of white porcelain. Each one has its own lid; the lids have top knobs which act as handles and make it possible to lift them easily. At the front, the vases bear big hand-painted square frames with inscriptions inside. The inscriptions are black abbreviations which tell us about the content. One of them reads G.R. BEDELL, and the other, RESIN DRACEN. DR. The frames are composed of black, reds and golden bands. The vases edges, the lids and the top knobs are also decorated with golden bands, a discreet and stylish ornamentation. Original and delicate, this couple of antique porcelain pharmacy vases with hand-painted decoration is a highly decorative item of undeniable charm. Dimensions: Width: 4.92 in / 12.5 cm.
