Antique Mathieu surgical tool case made in France circa 1920, very complete and in fine condition. The case contains different surgical tools made of stainless steel. Each tool bears the manufacturers name, MATHIEU, engraved in the metal surface. The case also shows the brand name printed in white lettering, with the original address of the company in Paris. The case is made of black leather and resistant fabric, with foldable side flaps which can be turned into a compact design. Inside it mounts elastic bands which keep the tools in place; outside we can see a metal snap in good working order. Over the snap there is an embossed number, 886. The tool kit is composed of different foldable knives, hemostats, spatulas, scalpels and a syringe. There are also two packs of metal clamps and a cardboard box with suture material. All the instruments are well preserved and show off the great charm of early-20th-century medical tools.
